Immigration Attorney - EOIR
The United Firm is seeking an Immigration Attorney to join their team in Austin, Texas. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated attorney to gain valuable experience and advance their career within a premier law firm. As an EOIR Attorney, you will report to the Managing Attorney and collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistants.
In this position, you will represent both non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court, USCIS, and the Board of Immigration Appeals. Your responsibilities will include preparing defensive immigration applications, such as I-589, 42A, 42B, I-485, SIJS, and PD requests, as well as reviewing USCIS filings like I-130, I-601A, and U-Visa applications. You will meet with clients to develop strategic plans, manage a team of paralegals to ensure high-quality client service, and prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.
The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and an active bar license in the state of Texas. While no prior experience is necessary, comprehensive training will be provided. A team-oriented approach, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage a caseload effectively are essential. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required. Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian cases, EOIR proceedings, Detained cases, Citizenship applications, and other USCIS processes is advantageous. Familiarity with case management software is also preferred.
The compensation package includes a salary range of $80,000 to $120,000 USD, depending on experience. This role is a hybrid position requiring in-person court appearances.
