Immigration Attorney

The United Firm is seeking a Contract Appearance/Hearing Attorney specializing in Immigration Law to join their team in Houston, Texas. This flexible, appointment-based contract position offers the opportunity to represent clients in immigration court proceedings and USCIS interviews. As part of a premier law firm committed to protecting clients' rights, the attorney will collaborate with a dedicated team of immigration professionals.

In this role, the attorney will appear in immigration courts for various hearings, including master calendar hearings, bond hearings, and removal proceedings. They will also accompany clients to USCIS interviews, manage their own schedule for court appearances, prepare and review case documents, coordinate with the central team, and ensure timely reporting of hearing outcomes.

Candidates should possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and an active bar license in the state of Texas. Experience with immigration court proceedings or USCIS interviews is required, along with excellent writing and advocacy skills. The ability to manage one's own schedule and communicate effectively with a remote team is essential. Bilingual skills in Spanish are a plus, and familiarity with EOIR proceedings, USCIS interviews, and immigration law updates is preferred.
