The Implementation & Activation Director at WPP Media is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the delivery of implementation planning and activation across a team of specialists. This position involves supervising team workflows to ensure client demands are met, balancing workloads, and fostering effective collaboration among team members and key stakeholders. The director will work closely with management to produce best-in-class solutions, offer unparalleled service, and deliver against targets.

Key responsibilities include cultivating strong, trusted relationships with clients at an intermediate to senior level, offering expert perspectives on market trends, and proactively recommending tactics to resolve client challenges. The director will lead the construction and presentation of effective and future-facing implementation plans grounded in strategic priorities and data-led optimization recommendations. Additionally, the role involves motivating and empowering direct reports to achieve individual, team, and organizational goals, conducting regular check-ins, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Required qualifications include a minimum of 10 years of experience handling media planning across both digital and traditional media channels. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of all communication channels and how they inter-relate, with strong analytical skills to use data for problem-solving. A clear communicator with strong presentation skills, the candidate should demonstrate well-developed negotiation and implementation planning skills, and be results-driven with the ability to identify and articulate what’s working and why.
