Intern - Research Associate
The Intern - Research Associate position at GenScript/ProBio offers an opportunity to engage in cutting-edge biotechnology research within a globally recognized organization. GenScript Biotech Corporation, founded in 2002, operates across North America, Europe, Greater China, and the Asia Pacific, focusing on gene synthesis, life science services, biologics development, and cell therapy. This role is based in Singapore and involves collaboration with a dynamic research team dedicated to advancing scientific discovery.
In this role, the intern will conduct experiments, analyze and process experimental data, and identify unqualified data. Research activities may include cell culture, protein purification, concentration tests, SDS-PAGE, Western blot analysis, endotoxin tests, HPLC, and LC-MS analysis of protein samples. Additional responsibilities encompass setting up experiments, running samples, maintaining accurate experimental records, participating in multiple R&D projects, and ensuring proper documentation. The intern will also engage in routine lab hygiene activities, stocktaking, consumable replenishment, and equipment maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.
Candidates should possess a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or a related field. Familiarity with experimental operations such as SDS-PAGE, Western blots, LC-MS, HPLC, and other protein detection methods is essential. Strong troubleshooting abilities, effective verbal and written communication skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively within a team are also required.
