Graphcore is seeking a Research Intern to join their team in Bristol, Cambridge, or London, UK. As a leader in AI computing, Graphcore develops advanced semiconductors and data center hardware to drive AI innovation. The Research Intern will contribute to advancing AI research by exploring new ideas that push the boundaries of machine learning and artificial intelligence.
In this role, the intern will investigate research questions related to machine learning or accelerated computation. Responsibilities include designing experiments, implementing models and algorithms, analyzing data, and presenting results. The intern will have the autonomy to pursue promising approaches with guidance and mentorship, aiming to present findings to the broader research community. Research topics of interest include efficient training and inference, enhanced model capabilities in factuality and reasoning, image and video generation, world models, and molecule generation for life science applications.
Candidates should be PhD students in Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence, or pursuing a Master's degree in a relevant field with demonstrable research experience, such as publications in machine learning. Proficiency in coding with Python and C++ is required, along with experience in implementing algorithms using machine learning frameworks like PyTorch. A strong passion for AI, both theoretical and practical, and a keen interest in continuous learning are essential.
