iOS Engineer - Consumer Discovery Team
Wolt is seeking a dedicated iOS Engineer to join our Consumer Discovery Team, focusing on enhancing the user experience within our consumer app. This team plays a pivotal role in helping millions of users discover their next favorite restaurant, grocery store, or product by improving features such as the homepage, category views, and expanding into new verticals like groceries, electronics, pet food, and health & beauty. As part of Wolt, a company that has grown from delivering restaurant food in 2014 to offering a wide range of products in over 500 cities across 30 countries, you'll be contributing to a dynamic and rapidly expanding environment.
In this role, you will design, build, and operate high-performance iOS features across various discovery surfaces, front pages, and category experiences. Collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Data teams, you'll define hypotheses, measure outcomes, and implement A/B tests and feature flags to iterate quickly. Your responsibilities will also include writing clean, testable code that's easy to maintain and ship, mentoring fellow engineers, and contributing to technical direction through code reviews and design discussions. Additionally, you'll work on improving system quality by reducing technical debt and evolving the app's architecture.
The ideal candidate has at least 3-4 years of experience developing iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI. A strong testing ownership mindset is essential, encompassing the entire development cycle to ensure defect-free features are delivered to customers. Experience with production app monitoring and troubleshooting is required, along with the ability to drive impact from both technical and work management perspectives. Self-sufficiency in managing projects with minimal intervention, clear communication skills, and experience working in multi-team development environments are also important. Proficiency in Swift, UIKit, Reactive Programming, Modularization, and Swift Package Manager is expected.
