Nelson Mullins, an AmLaw 60 firm with over 1,000 attorneys and professionals, is seeking a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Specialist to oversee the full life cycle of CLE programming. This role ensures regulatory compliance, high-quality content delivery, and seamless coordination across attorneys, practice groups, and state accrediting bodies. The CLE Specialist will manage accreditation, execution, and post-event processing of all CLE initiatives, serving as the operational backbone of the firm's education infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include managing the end-to-end administration of the firm's CLE program, ensuring all firm-sponsored CLE activities are compliant, well-documented, and efficiently executed. The specialist will prepare and submit accreditation applications across multiple state bar jurisdictions, track approvals, verify attendance, and issue certificates, while maintaining organized and audit-ready program records. Serving as a primary point of contact for jurisdictional compliance, the role involves researching state-specific requirements, overseeing reporting processes, and coordinating responses to accreditation denials, including preparing appeals and supporting documentation. Collaboration with internal teams and external partners to support accreditation efforts, manage program logistics, and track related expenses is also essential. Additionally, the specialist will partner with the Marketing team to execute internal CLE programs and provide guidance on client-facing events to ensure alignment with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree and at least five years of related experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment. A strong understanding of CLE rules, regulations, and accreditation processes across multiple jurisdictions is required, along with the ability to manage complex requirements with accuracy and efficiency. Exceptional organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and effective prioritization of competing demands are essential. The candidate should be a collaborative team player who builds and maintains positive working relationships across departments, while also excelling independently. Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary, as is proficiency in computer systems and relevant software applications.

Nelson Mullins offers a collaborative and inclusive work environment, emphasizing community service and good citizenship. Administrative professionals have opportunities to participate in various pro bono and community service initiatives. The firm has been recognized for its commitment to diversity and inclusion, with a culture that embraces a wide range of perspectives and experiences. In 2025, Nelson Mullins was named among the law firms' subsection of the "Best Companies To Work For" list by U.S. News and World Report.

This role offers the opportunity to be a key player in the firm's education infrastructure, ensuring that attorneys meet their professional obligations through well-coordinated and compliant CLE programs. The CLE Specialist will contribute to the firm's mission by supporting the continuous professional development of its legal team.
