While the position is remote, it includes global travel for 2 to 4 weeks per year for internal and external events.

The ideal candidate will have experience developing software using Go and possess excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A strong academic track record from high school and preferably university is desired. Additionally, candidates should be willing to travel up to four times a year for internal events. Canonical offers a distributed work environment with twice-yearly in-person team sprints, a personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year, annual compensation reviews, recognition rewards, and various leave benefits. Employees also have opportunities to travel to new locations to meet colleagues and access travel upgrades for long-haul company events.

Joining Canonical means becoming part of a pioneering tech firm at the forefront of the global move to open source.
