Junior Attorney, Colombia
Sony Music Entertainment is seeking a Junior Attorney to join its legal team in Bogotá, Colombia. This role is integral to supporting the company's operations in Latin America, ensuring legal compliance, and mitigating potential legal risks. As part of a global leader in the music industry, the Junior Attorney will collaborate with various departments to uphold Sony Music's commitment to artistic integrity and transparency.
In this position, the Junior Attorney will proactively draft and review legal and commercial documents, maintaining high standards to protect the company from future legal contingencies. The role involves creatively solving problems and finding innovative ways to construct and interpret documentation related to audiovisual production, phonographic production, photography, rights assignments and licensing, service provision, and labor matters. Additionally, the Junior Attorney will monitor ongoing legal activities and advise all departments to ensure compliance with current legal and corporate standards.
Candidates should possess a law degree with knowledge in commercial law, intellectual property, corporate law, and related areas. A minimum of 2 to 4 years of direct professional experience is required, along with advanced proficiency in English (at least B2 level). The ideal candidate will be precise, detail-oriented, entrepreneurial, capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and thinking outside the box, while operating with the highest level of integrity and handling confidential information responsibly. A valid U.S. visa is also necessary, and prior experience in a law firm or legal study is preferred.
