Lab Manager
As a Lab Manager at Graphcore's Bengaluru facility, you will oversee the electronics laboratory, ensuring it operates efficiently to support various cross-functional teams. Your role will involve implementing and maintaining standard operating procedures to comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. You will collaborate with teams from Facilities, Manufacturing Technology, Supply Chain, Quality, Product Test and Diagnosis, Infrastructure Solutions, and Hardware Engineering to facilitate seamless laboratory operations.
Your primary responsibilities will include managing the installation, maintenance, and calibration of electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies. You will also oversee the laboratory infrastructure, including chillers, compressors, cooling systems, and HVAC, ensuring they are functioning optimally. Implementing preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting guides, and enforcing ESD prevention and control systems will be key aspects of your role. Additionally, you will manage the goods in/out process, ensuring items are tracked and stored securely, and support engineering teams in setting up test benches and configuring equipment for hardware validation and characterization.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing and leading a team of technicians within an electronics environment. A strong technical understanding of electronic test equipment and laboratory infrastructure, including setup, calibration, and troubleshooting, is essential. Proficiency in ESD prevention and control, as well as in-depth knowledge of health and safety requirements in an electronics laboratory setting, is required. Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills are necessary to build, manage, and mentor a team of technicians effectively.
