Land Development Project Engineer
Benesch is seeking a Project Engineer to join our land development team in Wilmington, North Carolina. This role offers the opportunity to work within a close-knit, dynamic team while benefiting from the resources of a nationally ranked engineering firm. Our Wilmington office handles a diverse range of projects, including parks, multi-use pathways, higher education facilities, commercial developments, and international corporate headquarters.
The Project Engineer will be responsible for creating and executing project work plans, interacting with clients and agencies, and representing Benesch at industry events. Key duties include organizing calculations for design files, designing various project elements, obtaining necessary permits and approvals, collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, and assisting in construction administration as needed.
Candidates must have a minimum of four years of progressive site development experience and hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina. A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required. Experience with public agencies and local governmental jurisdictions, proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater modeling software, and strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
