Stoke Space is a pioneering aerospace company dedicated to developing Nova, a fully and rapidly reusable launch vehicle designed for daily flights. The Launch Engineer - Avionics Integration & Test role is integral to this mission, focusing on the integration and testing of avionics flight hardware during the final stages of vehicle assembly at Cape Canaveral's historic LC-14 launch site. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of electrical, mechanical, and software interfaces essential for the successful operation of the launch vehicle.

In this role, the engineer will be responsible for integrating all avionics flight hardware, developing electrical ground support equipment, and creating integration and test plans for the complete stage and engine avionics system. Collaboration with component owners, software, and other engineering disciplines is crucial to identify and resolve integration issues early in the design cycle, thereby streamlining launch site operations. The engineer will also facilitate hardware-in-the-loop test solutions to validate vehicle configurations and develop continuous integration test objectives. Additionally, planning, authoring, and executing system integration and vehicle checkout tests at the launch site are key responsibilities.

Candidates should possess a B.S. degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, mechatronics engineering, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in avionics, electrical, or flight termination systems for launch vehicles or ground support equipment. A strong foundation in electrical design, integration, and testing is essential, along with proficiency in creating and implementing procedures and automated test sequences. Experience in designing and building ground support or automation equipment for vehicle power-up, testing, and validation of launch vehicle systems is also required. Hands-on experience with measurement instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and loop impedance testers is necessary. Proficiency with 2D CAD software and Microsoft Office tools is expected.

While specific compensation details are not provided, Stoke Space offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes equity in the form of stock options for all regular full-time employees, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, company-paid life and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan with employer match, four weeks of paid time off, ten paid holidays including end-of-year closure, paid family and parental leave, on-site gym or monthly wellness stipend, and a dog-friendly office environment.
