Lawyer, Corporate M&A - Real Assets
Gilbert + Tobin, a leading Australian law firm, is seeking a Lawyer to join their Real Assets team in Sydney. The Real Assets practice focuses on high-value investments across real estate, infrastructure, private capital, M&A, finance, and development sectors.
In this role, the successful candidate will work directly with Ben Cosentino, co-head of Real Assets, and gain hands-on experience in major joint ventures, platform investments, and structured transactions. The work spans sectors such as logistics, living, student accommodation, healthcare, hospitality, energy transition, digital infrastructure, and commercial real estate. The team is involved in cross-border mandates and strategic real asset deals shaping the market.
Candidates should have at least two years of post-admission experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, or real estate and infrastructure transactions. A strong interest in large-scale real asset transactions involving private capital, real estate, and infrastructure sectors is essential. The role requires a proactive and commercial mindset, exceptional drafting and analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.
