Lawyer - Employment Relations and Safety

McCullough Robertson is seeking a Lawyer to join their Employment Relations and Safety team in Brisbane. This team provides tailored, commercial solutions to complex workplace issues, supporting organizations across the full employment lifecycle. In this role, the successful candidate will work closely with both private and public sector clients on a broad spectrum of employment and industrial relations matters. Responsibilities include providing strategic, commercially focused advice and representation on complex workplace issues, assisting organizations in navigating evolving legislation, managing risk, and achieving practical, compliant outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have three to four years of post-admission experience with a demonstrated commitment to employment and industrial relations law. Essential qualifications include a strong track record in providing front-end employment advice, conducting detailed document reviews, and managing back-end litigation in courts and tribunals. Experience acting for government clients at the federal, state, or local level, along with an understanding of national-system employers, is highly regarded. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a proactive, outcomes-focused approach to client service, and the ability to manage competing priorities efficiently are also essential.
