Lead Product Designer (Crypto Exchange)
Hyphen Connect Limited is seeking a Lead Product Designer to spearhead comprehensive design initiatives for their decentralized crypto exchange platform. This role involves creating pixel-perfect designs that enhance user experience across multiple platforms, including iOS, Android, web, and mobile web. The company focuses on building a safe, simple, and scalable trading platform that combines the best features of centralized and decentralized exchanges, offering institutional-level systems and support while remaining on-chain and decentralized.
The Lead Product Designer will lead and manage design projects from conception to production for medium to large-scale initiatives. Responsibilities include crafting platform-optimized designs tailored for various platforms, developing and maintaining reusable design templates aligned with the company's Design Language System (DLS), and creating detailed specifications to guide product implementation. The role also involves reviewing design assets to ensure they adhere to brand standards, collaborating effectively with engineering, product, QA, and research teams, designing new components and icons to evolve the DLS, maintaining documentation of design workflows, and conducting user research to better understand user needs and behaviors.
Candidates should have a minimum of 6 years in product design, including at least 3 years in a leadership role managing complex, cross-platform projects. A strong focus on detail with a passion for achieving pixel-perfect design is essential. Significant experience managing and working within design systems, tokens, and variable structures is required. Proficiency in using Figma’s components, shared libraries, and branching functionalities is necessary. Proven experience in managing stakeholders and effectively collaborating with product, engineering, and QA teams is also important. Expertise in Figma, with possible proficiency in Sketch, Photoshop, and Illustrator, is desirable. The ideal candidate is highly self-driven, solution-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated ability to build a product’s UI/UX from the ground up.
