As a Lead Software Development Engineer at PitchBook, a Morningstar company, you will be an integral member of the Product and Engineering team, focusing on the Frontier Data Platform. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, with over seven years of backend software engineering experience, primarily in Java on production systems at scale. Expertise in distributed data pipelines and streaming systems, such as Kafka, is crucial. Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch or similar search technologies, along with a strong understanding of system design, performance optimization, and cloud technologies, is highly desirable.
