As the Lead Engineer for Low Observability (LO) Emission Control and RF Interoperability at Helsing, you will spearhead efforts to minimize the system's electromagnetic signature while ensuring seamless coexistence of all RF systems. This role is pivotal in developing low-signature operational concepts, managing RF deconfliction, and leading system-level integration and verification to guarantee mission-critical performance and resilience, particularly within contested electronic warfare environments.

Key responsibilities include designing and owning emission control strategies for the overall system, encompassing both airborne platforms and ground components. You will manage day-to-day RF interoperability across various airborne payloads, such as radar/AESA, RWR/ESM, datalinks, SATCOM/LOS radios, GNSS, IFF, and telemetry, ensuring their coexistence without mutual degradation. Additionally, you will plan and execute EMC/EMI co-site assessments, define and manage frequency plans, and establish low-probability-of-detection (LPD) and low-probability-of-intercept (LPI) operation concepts to reduce detectability.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field. You should have experience delivering RF/EMC co-site interoperability on airborne platforms and hands-on experience with multi-sensor RF integration, including AESA radar, ESM/RWR, datalinks, SATCOM/LOS radios, GNSS, and IFF. Proficiency in conducting interference analyses and implementing practical mitigations, as well as experience with EMC/EMI and over-the-air test campaigns, is essential. A strong understanding of antenna placement and coupling trade-offs, along with a demonstrated low-observability and signature-management mindset, is also required.
