Legal Assistant

As a Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the law firm's day-to-day operations, including carrying out administrative services and supporting the legal team. This position's ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic workplace.
Key responsibilities include performing administrative duties such as scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics. You will also maintain pleadings and discovery indexes, organize exhibits and legal documents, implement administrative processes for efficient workflow, collect and organize evidence for attorney review, draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, research regulations and laws, manage client billing, communicate with clients and witnesses, and provide general administrative assistance.
The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, with an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor’s Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate preferred. Prior experience as a case manager in a Veteran Affairs department is preferred, along with at least 1 year of working legal, medical, or social services experience. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle a fast-paced environment are essential, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.
