Legal Assistant
Tyson & Mendes LLP, a nationally recognized trial firm, is seeking a detail-driven and proactive Legal Assistant to support attorneys in civil litigation and insurance defense cases. This full-time position offers flexible work options and is based in Las Vegas, NV. As a Legal Assistant, you will provide critical support by drafting and e-filing legal documents, managing case calendars, coordinating hearings and trial preparations, and communicating with clients and courts. Your role will be essential in maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality throughout the litigation process.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation legal assistant, with a preference for those with insurance defense and/or personal injury experience. Proficiency in MS Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as Adobe Acrobat, is required. A solid understanding of civil litigation, including state and federal court filings in Nevada, is essential. The ability to work from the office at least three days per week is also necessary.
Compensation includes an hourly pay range of $25-41, depending on experience, with overtime paid at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate as needed. Comprehensive benefits coverage is offered, including plans available at zero employee cost, with an average annual employee contribution for health, vision, and dental coverage ranging from $700 to $1,700. Additional benefits include a monthly technology reimbursement of $60, a 401(k) program with matching contributions, and paid parental leave at base pay.
