Legal Assistant
Tyson & Mendes LLP, a nationally recognized trial firm specializing in civil litigation and insurance defense, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to support its attorneys. This full-time, in-office position is based in Denver, Colorado, and offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic and high-performing legal environment.
As a Legal Assistant, you will provide essential support to attorneys handling civil litigation and insurance defense cases. Your responsibilities will include drafting and e-filing legal documents, managing case calendars, coordinating hearings and trial preparations, and maintaining communication with clients and courts, all while upholding a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation legal assistant, with a preference for those with insurance defense and/or personal injury experience. A solid understanding of civil litigation, including state and federal calendar deadlines and rules, is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as Adobe Acrobat, is required. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, along with excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, is crucial.
Compensation for this role includes an hourly pay range of $30 to $43, depending on experience. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate, as needed.
