Legal Contracts Administrator
Motive is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Contracts Administrator to join its mission-driven legal team. This role focuses on supporting the day-to-day efficiency and effectiveness of the legal department, primarily concerning U.S. operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and supporting projects across the full range of subjects handled by the legal team.
Key responsibilities include maintaining an organized system of physical and digital records, managing document repositories and workflows in Ironclad, drafting standard templates for regularly utilized contracts and agreements, and preparing, reviewing, and finalizing NDAs, SOWs, and other routine agreements. The role also involves triaging and providing first-round edits to incoming legal document requests from Sales business partners, ensuring contracts comply with applicable playbooks and requirements, and coordinating with legal and compliance departments as necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) or equivalent experience, with a strong understanding of U.S.-based legal requirements and contracts. A paralegal certificate and proficiency in Spanish are considered pluses. A minimum of four years of experience in legal document review and management within an in-house legal department or law firm is required. Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office is essential, and experience with Ironclad and Salesforce is preferred. The candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment, successfully manage multiple deadlines, and approach tasks with enthusiasm and a sense of humor.
