Legal Corporate Counsel, Commercial
As a Corporate Counsel at Axon, you will be an integral part of the contracts and corporate team, supporting global sales operations. This role involves close collaboration with departments such as Sales, Supply Chain, Software and Hardware Engineering, Product, and IT to structure and negotiate complex transactions, contributing to the company's rapid growth and mission to protect life.
Key responsibilities include providing legal advice on transactional matters related to Axon's public safety technology products, including structuring, reviewing, and negotiating contracts for goods, services, and SaaS solutions. You will supervise and review the work of Contracts Managers, set and enforce acceptable risk levels, and lead the development and implementation of processes to support scalable legal contracting, such as drafting and maintaining template contract language and policies.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in-house, negotiating and managing complex commercial contracts. A strong ability to draft and negotiate a high volume of contracts for SaaS, hardware, and services is essential. Experience with intellectual property licensing, international agreements, and contract lifecycle processes is highly valued. A Juris Doctor degree and membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar are required.
