Legal Counsel: Corporate & Commercial

Affinidi is seeking a Legal Counsel specializing in Corporate and Commercial law to join our team in Bengaluru, India. This role involves providing comprehensive legal support across various business functions, including HR, Finance, Strategy, Business Development, Technology, and Marketing. The position is a 6-9 month engagement with potential for extension or conversion, depending on business needs.

The Legal Counsel will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a diverse range of commercial contracts, such as Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs). Additionally, the role includes managing day-to-day legal operations, maintaining key legal and corporate records, tracking compliance obligations, and coordinating with external legal counsels across multiple jurisdictions to ensure timely and cost-effective outcomes.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Law degree from a recognized university in India and be a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ACS/FCS preferred). A minimum of 5-8 years of post-qualification experience is required, with strong exposure to legal advisory work and a working knowledge of company secretarial functions. Experience in technology-driven companies and familiarity with product or technology-related legal matters are advantageous. Strong communication, drafting, stakeholder management, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
