Legal Counsel

H&M Group is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their Legal Compliance team at the Stockholm Head Office. This role offers an opportunity for individuals passionate about law and compliance within the retail and fashion industry. The Legal Compliance team, consisting of nine professionals, collaborates closely to address complex legal challenges across the organization.

In this position, the Legal Counsel will provide strategic legal advice and support across H&M Group's functions, brands, regions, and markets. Key responsibilities include acting as a strategic legal partner, ensuring compliance in decision-making processes, contributing to the development of policies and guidelines, and collaborating with other legal teams to offer comprehensive support. Additionally, the role involves engaging with authorities, organizations, and customers to foster strong relationships and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Candidates should possess a university law degree and have a minimum of five years' relevant experience with GDPR, gained from a company, authority, or law firm. Experience in AI and digital legislation, consumer rights, and ESG is also advantageous. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in professional English are required. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a proactive and optimistic approach, capable of communicating complex matters effectively and thriving in a dynamic environment.
