Legal Counsel International Procurement (m/w/d)

METRO, a leading international food wholesaler, is seeking a Legal Counsel for International Procurement to join their specialized legal team. This role involves providing legal support in logistics and procurement, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and internal procedures.

The primary responsibilities include advising cross-functional teams on civil law matters, handling international procurement contracts, supporting negotiations with national and international suppliers, and offering ongoing legal guidance to logistics departments. Additionally, the role involves updating contract texts in line with new legal, corporate, or internal requirements and managing external legal consultations.

Candidates should possess a law degree with both state examinations completed with at least "satisfactory" grades. A strong background in civil, procurement, and logistics law is essential, with a minimum of two years of experience in a law firm or corporate setting. Key competencies include excellent communication skills, negotiation abilities, problem-solving capabilities, and a structured approach to complex issues. Fluency in both German (C1/C2) and English is required, with international experience being advantageous.
