Legal Counsel
As a Legal Counsel at Pagaya, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive legal, regulatory, and compliance advice across multiple domains, including data protection, privacy, information security, private investment funds, and employment matters. Pagaya is a global technology company dedicated to making financial products and services more accessible through machine learning and AI-driven solutions, with offices in New York and Tel Aviv.
In this role, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, such as vendor contracts, SaaS agreements, partnership deals, data processing agreements, and employment-related contracts. You will collaborate closely with internal teams—including IT, Security, HR, Engineering, and Finance—to ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies, particularly focusing on global privacy and data protection frameworks like GDPR, CCPA, and Israeli law. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and implementation of company-wide legal, privacy, and security governance frameworks.
The ideal candidate will possess an LL.B, J.D., or equivalent degree and be licensed to practice law in Israel. A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial, technology, or corporate law is required, with exposure to data protection, cybersecurity, or employment law considered a strong advantage. Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, along with a solid understanding of privacy and data protection laws, is essential. Familiarity with information security frameworks and employment compliance practices is advantageous. Fluency in English is a must.
