Legal Counsel - Product & Regulatory
As a Legal Counsel at Bitpanda, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's legal strategy, focusing on commercial development, regulatory compliance, and the establishment of new products and business models. This position is integral to scaling Bitpanda's B2B2C solution, Bitpanda Enterprise, within a dynamic fintech environment.
Your primary responsibilities will include drafting, reviewing, and independently negotiating complex commercial agreements, particularly B2B client contracts, enterprise partnerships, SaaS agreements, and service level agreements. You will lead regulatory work streams and structural product design, focusing on financial services regulations such as MiCAR and MiFID II, to support both retail and B2B product expansions. Additionally, you will provide end-to-end legal guidance on initiatives including token projects, structured financial instruments, strategic corporate partnerships, marketing compliance, and dispute resolution.
The ideal candidate holds a law degree from an Austrian, German, or Swiss university with an advanced focus on corporate law, commercial law, or financial regulation. You should have 2–4 years of professional experience in an international law firm or in-house legal department, preferably within the fintech, financial services, or traditional banking sector. A proven track record in handling B2B/Enterprise commercial transactions and corporate partnerships is essential. Full professional proficiency in German and English is required.
