Legal Counsel, Technology & Innovation

As a Legal Counsel at Cisco, you will be an integral part of our Legal, Innovation, and Strategy Team (LIST), which operates at the forefront of technological advancement and legal expertise. This dynamic group plays a pivotal role in crafting the company's strategic direction, providing critical legal guidance on new technologies such as AI, privacy, data governance, open source software, and intellectual property. By fostering a culture of innovative thinking, LIST enables Cisco's mission to power an inclusive future for all.

In this role, you will support Cisco's business by negotiating and drafting documentation for deals with our channel partners and customers to deliver connectivity, cloud, collaboration, security, and Splunk solutions. You will build partnerships with senior leaders to ensure alignment in areas such as corporate governance, competition law, and anti-bribery laws. Additionally, you will help develop innovative legal solutions to business challenges while maintaining Cisco's high standards of integrity, ethics, and transparency.

The ideal candidate will possess a law degree or equivalent professional qualification with a minimum of 5–8 years of law firm or relevant in-house legal experience. Legal knowledge of Singapore and other ASEAN countries is essential, with Korean legal knowledge being a strong advantage. Direct negotiation experience in complex and large technology transactions is strongly desirable. A "can-do" attitude with the ability to lead cross-functional teams under pressure while balancing competing priorities and risks is crucial.
