Legal Counsel (공정거래)
The Legal Counsel (공정거래) position at Toss is part of the Corporate Legal team, which oversees corporate legal matters across the Toss community, including corporate group regulations, fair trade, corporate governance, HR, and major transactions such as investments and M&A. This role is pivotal in managing fair trade and corporate group regulations, collaborating closely with various internal teams to provide practical legal advice on inter-affiliate transactions, transaction structures, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include reviewing and advising on issues related to the Fair Trade Act, Subcontracting Act, and corporate group regulations. The role involves systematic management and response to corporate group designation data submissions (both regular and ad-hoc), internal transactions, and related disclosures. Additionally, the Legal Counsel will preemptively review transaction structures and conditions between affiliates, handle inquiries, investigations, and data requests from regulatory bodies such as the Fair Trade Commission, and provide legal support for general contracts and platform operations within the Toss community.
The ideal candidate holds a Korean Bar Association license and possesses 5 to 10 years of experience in fair trade and corporate group advisory roles. Experience with internal transactions, corporate group designation data submissions, and fair trade law-related disclosure tasks is preferred. Proficiency in handling communications and responses to regulatory bodies like the Fair Trade Commission, Financial Supervisory Service, and Financial Services Commission is also desirable.
