Legal Counsel
Unispace is seeking a Legal Counsel to join our New York team, supporting our global operations in workplace design, strategy, and construction. This role involves collaborating with project delivery teams to provide legal guidance on complex contractual and risk-related matters, ensuring the successful execution of design and build projects across the U.S.
Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating project contracts such as design and build, construction, and consultancy agreements. The Legal Counsel will advise on contract strategy, risk allocation, and commercial terms, partnering closely with project delivery and commercial teams to support project execution. Additionally, the role involves advising on dispute avoidance and resolution, supporting broader commercial legal matters, and developing internal legal processes.
The ideal candidate is a qualified attorney admitted to the New York Bar, with experience in construction, design and build, real estate, or complex commercial contracts. Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills are essential, along with a commercially minded, pragmatic approach. The ability to work closely with non-legal stakeholders in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment is also crucial.
Unispace offers a competitive base salary ranging from $170,000 to $200,000 USD, depending on skills, experience, and location. We provide flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options, to support work-life balance. Our comprehensive Employee Value Proposition program includes rewards and recognition, career development opportunities, and a strong focus on mental and physical well-being.
