Legal Director
Accela is seeking a Legal Director to lead its legal department and provide strategic guidance on all legal matters affecting the company. The Legal Director will be responsible for overseeing all legal aspects of the company's operations, including contract negotiation, corporate governance, intellectual property management, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, the Legal Director will manage relationships with external legal counsel and represent the company in legal proceedings as necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and be a member in good standing of a state bar. A minimum of 10 years of legal experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a corporate legal department, is required. Experience in the technology sector, particularly with SaaS or cloud-based solutions, is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of contract law, intellectual property, data privacy, and regulatory compliance is essential.
