Legal Intern
The Legal Intern position at GenScript/ProBio offers an opportunity to work within the Legal Department of a leading global biotechnology company. GenScript Biotech Corporation, founded in 2002, operates across North America, Europe, Greater China, and the Asia Pacific, focusing on gene synthesis, life science services, biologics development, and cell therapy. This internship is based in Piscataway, New Jersey, and reports to the Head of the US/EU Legal Department.
In this role, the intern will assist Legal Team Members with daily tasks, including legal and business-related compliance, research, and administrative duties. Responsibilities encompass supporting contract reviews, conducting legal research on assigned issues, and assisting with the organization and documentation of corporate structures. The intern will also help collect and update information on laws and regulations pertinent to the biotechnology and life sciences industry.
Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Pre-Law, Legal, or Business Studies. A basic understanding of biotechnology or pharmaceutical trends is beneficial. The role requires a strong sense of responsibility, proactive work attitude, effective time management, organizational skills, and good communication abilities.
The internship offers an estimated hourly pay rate of $20 to $22. Interns will participate in a cohort training program designed to provide professional experience that complements their education. This program aims to enhance interns' understanding of legal operations within the biotechnology sector and offers exposure to real-world employment settings.
