Legal Lead Analyst
The Legal Lead Analyst at Wellhub is a pivotal role within the global Legal team, focusing on data protection and privacy compliance across multiple regions, including the US, EU, and LATAM. This position involves strategic collaboration with legal colleagues and business stakeholders to ensure adherence to regulations such as the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the EU AI Act.
Key responsibilities encompass leading risk and privacy operations, overseeing the development and implementation of privacy and AI governance strategies, conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and AI Risk Assessments, and staying abreast of evolving global privacy laws and AI regulations. The role also involves directing data protection due diligence for third-party vendors, advising on privacy-by-design and ethical AI principles, and handling administrative duties related to legal and compliance documents.
Candidates should possess 5-7+ years of experience in data privacy, compliance, IT audit, or related risk management roles, with a foundational understanding of ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27701, and/or ISO/IEC 42001. A law degree and license to practice law in the EEA are preferred. Strong project management skills, the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks efficiently, and a keen interest in legal, compliance, and privacy matters are essential.
