Legal Lead Analyst
The Legal Lead Analyst at Wellhub is a pivotal role within the global Legal team, focusing on data protection and privacy compliance across multiple regions, including the US, EU, and LATAM. This position involves close collaboration with the Data Protection Officer and other key stakeholders to ensure adherence to regulations such as the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the EU AI Act.
Key responsibilities include leading critical risk and privacy operations, overseeing the development and implementation of privacy, data protection, and AI governance strategies, and conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and AI Risk Assessments. The role also involves staying ahead of evolving global privacy laws and AI regulations, providing strategic guidance to leadership, and ensuring privacy-by-design and ethical AI principles are embedded across all new initiatives.
Candidates should have 5-7+ years of relevant experience in data privacy, compliance, IT audit, or related risk management roles, with a foundational understanding of ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27701, and/or ISO/IEC 42001. A law degree and license to practice law in the EEA are preferred. Excellent project management abilities and the capacity to prioritize and complete multiple tasks efficiently are essential.
