Legal Officer
SGS, the world's leading Testing, Inspection, and Certification company, is seeking a Legal Officer to join their team in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. In this role, the Legal Officer will provide daily legal advisory services to business teams and corporate functions, covering areas such as enterprise, commercial, civil, and labor matters, intellectual property rights, and dispute management. Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and updating contracts and legal documents in both Vietnamese and English, and liaising with Group Legal and external counsels on related matters. Additionally, the officer will support the Legal Manager in data privacy strategy, including reviewing agreements for personal data transfer and processing, advising on privacy and security requirements, and assisting with regulatory investigations.
Candidates should have a minimum of five years of experience in a paralegal, legal team, or law firm, and hold a Bachelor's degree in law. Knowledge of laws and regulations regarding inspection, testing, certification, data privacy, and cybersecurity in Vietnam is advantageous. Effective negotiation, writing, and communication skills in both English and Vietnamese are essential.
