Legal Operations Practice Manager
Sterlington PLLC is seeking a Legal Operations Practice Manager to oversee the execution of a Senior Partner's Corporate and M&A practice. This high-volume, high-stakes environment serves founders, executives, and private capital clients on significant transactions. The role ensures complex, multi-party matters progress with clarity and control, bringing structure to evolving priorities and maintaining visibility across active workstreams.
Key responsibilities include driving continuous improvement by refining workflows for operational efficiency and scalability, integrating AI tools to enhance matter tracking and internal coordination. The manager will maintain end-to-end visibility across all active matters, oversee status, timelines, dependencies, and client-facing commitments. Additionally, the role involves coordinating across attorneys, co-counsel, clients, and external parties to advance complex transactions, serving as the primary liaison for internal and service-provider stakeholders, and preparing concise matter summaries and status updates for the senior partner.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on AI fluency, with experience in building and deploying workflows in a professional context. Experience in practice management, legal operations, or transactional coordination within a law firm or professional services environment is required. A legal background, such as a J.D. or equivalent, with familiarity in US corporate and M&A matters, is preferred. Native or full professional English fluency is essential, along with a structured, systems-oriented mindset that introduces clarity without over-engineering.
