Legal Practice Technology Senior Analyst
The Legal Practice Technology Senior Analyst at Kirkland & Ellis plays a pivotal role in supporting litigation teams by managing data, databases, document productions, and advanced litigation technology tools. This position collaborates closely with Litigation & Practice Technology (LPT) Project Managers and firm leadership to ensure the secure, efficient, and accurate handling of client data throughout all phases of discovery and litigation support. Key responsibilities include processing, converting, and managing electronically stored information (ESI) in accordance with case-specific requirements. The analyst is also responsible for creating, configuring, and administering eDiscovery applications such as Relativity and Brainspace. Conducting quality control checks on data processing and production deliverables to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project specifications is essential. Additional duties involve generating custom load files, metadata, native files, and text files, as well as resolving complex data loading and application issues to provide timely, hands-on technical support to case teams. Utilizing analytics tools to support deduplication, email threading, privilege review, and predictive modeling is also a key aspect of the role.
Candidates should possess a minimum of six years of experience in legal technology or eDiscovery support, preferably within an Am Law 100 firm or equivalent service provider. At least three years of hands-on experience with leading eDiscovery platforms, including database setup, search design, and workflow configuration, are required. Strong knowledge of eDiscovery processing tools and demonstrated experience in creating complex document productions are essential. Proficiency in using analytics tools for machine learning–based review and quality control is necessary. A working knowledge of SQL, Python, and scripting languages to convert and analyze data effectively is also important. Excellent communication skills, the ability to convey technical concepts clearly, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism are crucial.
Compensation for this role includes a base salary ranging from $133,000 to $191,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
