Legal Specialist - Contracts and Operations

InterSystems is seeking a Legal Specialist to join our dynamic legal team, focusing on contracts and operations. This role is integral to managing the full lifecycle of contracts, ensuring compliance, and supporting our business growth in the healthcare sector. As a key player in our legal department, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to mitigate legal and commercial risks.

In this position, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of customer and supplier contracts, including software licenses, SaaS agreements, and consulting contracts. You will support tender and bid responses, particularly for NHS and other public sector procurements, and manage contracts post-signature to ensure adherence to obligations and facilitate change control processes. Additionally, you will monitor contractual performance and compliance, and support the management of third-party vendors and suppliers.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in contract management or a related field, preferably within healthcare, IT, or the public sector. Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills are essential, along with a pragmatic and commercially focused approach. Experience with UK model form contracts and frameworks, and an understanding of government and NHS procurement laws and public sector contracting norms, are highly desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams are also important.
