Legal Vendor Program Manager
Discord is seeking a Legal Vendor Program Manager to join its expanding legal team. This role is pivotal in managing and optimizing relationships with outside counsel and legal service providers, ensuring efficient and cost-effective legal operations. The position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring two days per week in the office to facilitate close collaboration with the Finance team.
The Legal Vendor Program Manager will oversee the end-to-end management of Discord's external legal partnerships. Key responsibilities include administering e-billing and matter management platforms, enforcing billing guidelines, conducting spend analyses, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. The role also involves developing and maintaining engagement terms, monitoring service levels, and implementing cost control strategies such as rate negotiations and alternative fee arrangements.
Candidates should possess a minimum of five years of experience in legal operations or legal vendor management, preferably within the technology sector. Proficiency with e-billing and matter management systems, strong analytical and financial skills, and the ability to manage complex projects collaboratively are essential. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and data visualization, are also required.
The annual base salary for this full-time position ranges from $144,000 to $162,000, complemented by equity and comprehensive benefits.
