Litigation Assistant

Morgan & Morgan is seeking a dedicated Litigation Assistant to join our team in Fort Myers, Florida. As a Litigation Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing the firm's daily operations and providing essential support to our legal team. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong work ethic and exceptional problem-solving skills who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing various administrative duties, including scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics. You will maintain pleadings and discovery indexes, organize exhibits and legal documents, and implement administrative processes to enhance workflow efficiency. Additionally, you will collect and examine evidence for attorney review, draft and proofread legal documents, research regulations and laws, manage client billing, and coordinate meetings with clients and witnesses.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for those holding an associate's degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or a bachelor's degree. A minimum of two years of experience as an administrative assistant, legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal is required, preferably within a law firm or corporate legal department. Experience in personal injury or related practice areas is preferred. Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Typing speed should be no less than 35 words per minute.
