Litigation Counsel
Scale LLP is seeking a midlevel attorney to join our growing litigation practice. Our attorneys work across Corporate, Intellectual Property, and Litigation practice groups, serving clients ranging from emerging ventures to mature enterprises and public companies.
In this role, you will manage all aspects of civil litigation, including researching legal issues, drafting and arguing motions, preparing written discovery, handling depositions, and attending and preparing for trials, arbitrations, and mediations. You will directly communicate with clients to advise them on litigation risks and exposures, make strategic recommendations on litigation approaches, and effectively manage litigation from start to finish. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to build a litigation practice supporting a wide range of industries and a diverse client base, while collaborating with a national team to expand your practice.
The ideal candidate will have at least seven years of experience at a national or regional law firm or in-house with a reputable company, plus prior experience in private practice. A Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction are required. Candidates should demonstrate strong writing, research, and case management skills, and the ability to work independently, handle multiple projects, and take ownership of client matters. Experience in financial services or general civil defense litigation is a plus.
