Litigation Paralegal
Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join their team in Hamden, Connecticut. This role involves working closely with a lead attorney and legal assistant to provide comprehensive support throughout the litigation process.
The Litigation Paralegal will be responsible for preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda. Additional duties include e-filing court documents in state and federal courts, communicating with clients, courts, and counsel, conducting legal research, preparing discovery documents, and coordinating depositions. The role also involves preparing trial binders and exhibits, drafting pleadings and motions for court filing, and maintaining pleadings and discovery indexes.
Candidates should possess an Associate’s Degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience, with completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program preferred. A minimum of two years of experience as a litigation paralegal or in legal services under an attorney in a law firm setting is required. Experience in personal injury, workers compensation, premises, first party, medical malpractice, or other injury-related practice areas is essential. Strong multitasking, organizational, and communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to manage a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
