As a Litigation Paralegal, you will be responsible for assisting attorneys through all phases of litigation. Key duties include drafting and proofreading legal documents, organizing and managing large volumes of records, and preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials. You will also handle discovery processes, such as propounding and responding to interrogatories, requests for admissions, and requests for production. Utilizing legal technology and case management tools, you will streamline workflows in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a paralegal certification and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation, insurance defense, or personal injury matters, particularly within California. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems is essential. Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities are crucial. Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset are also important for success in this role.

Tyson & Mendes offers a competitive compensation package, including an hourly pay range of $30-$43, depending on experience, with overtime paid at 1.5 times the regular rate as needed. Paralegals are eligible for an annual bonus ranging from $250 to $3,000 and receive a monthly technology reimbursement of $60. Comprehensive benefits coverage is provided, with plans available at zero employee cost. The firm also offers a 401(k) program with employer matching and paid parental leave at the base pay rate.
