Litigation Paralegal
Tyson & Mendes LLP, a nationally recognized law firm specializing in insurance defense litigation, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join their team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Founded in 2002, the firm has grown to over 250 attorneys across the United States, defending corporations, insurance companies, and their clients in civil litigation matters.
In this role, the Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys in civil litigation, personal injury, and construction defect cases. Key responsibilities include assisting with case management, drafting and proofreading legal documents, organizing and reviewing large volumes of records, and preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials. Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a strong understanding of civil litigation processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as Adobe Acrobat, is required. A paralegal certification is mandatory, and experience with litigation in Pennsylvania is highly encouraged.
The compensation package includes an hourly pay range of $34-41, depending on experience, with overtime paid at 1.5× the regular hourly rate as needed. Paralegals are eligible for an annual bonus ranging from $250-$3,000 and receive a monthly technology reimbursement of $60. Comprehensive benefits coverage is offered, including plans available at zero employee cost, with an average annual employee contribution for health/vision/dental coverage between $700-$1,700. Employees also benefit from a 401(k) program with a 100% match on the first 3% contributed and a 50% match on the following 4-5%. Paid parental leave at base pay rate is also provided.
