Machine Learning Engineer
As a Machine Learning Engineer at PitchBook Data, you will be an integral part of the AI & ML (Insights) team, focusing on developing AI-powered features that extract meaningful insights from extensive structured and unstructured data sources, including reports and news. This role demands deep technical expertise in advanced data analytics and machine learning, contributing directly to enhancing the PitchBook Platform's capabilities.
Your primary responsibilities will include designing, building, and deploying AI/ML models and services, with a focus on natural language processing (NLP), summarization, semantic search, classification, and prediction. You will be involved in the end-to-end development and operationalization of these models, ensuring they meet production-grade reliability and efficiency standards. Collaboration with engineers, data scientists, and product managers will be essential to align your work with business goals and the company's AI/ML strategy.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related technical field, with advanced degrees preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience in software or machine learning engineering is required, emphasizing AI/ML applications in insight generation and prediction. Proficiency in Python and SQL, along with experience in building scalable data pipelines and distributed systems, is essential. Familiarity with cloud-native development, containerization, and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is also expected.
Compensation for this role includes an annual base salary ranging from $125,000 to $180,000, with a target annual bonus percentage of 10%.
