Helsing, a defense AI company dedicated to protecting democracies through technological leadership, is seeking a Manager of Information Security to join their Munich team. This pivotal role involves managing and enhancing the Information Security Management System (ISMS) across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with ISO 27001 and BSI IT-Grundschutz standards. The position also includes contributing to the development of NATO Classified Infrastructure and a next-generation Cyber Security Operations Center (SOC).

The Manager of Information Security will oversee the daily management and continuous improvement of the ISMS, ensuring audit readiness and alignment with international standards. Responsibilities include advising delivery teams on security concepts, planning and executing internal and external audits, and developing incident management procedures. The role also involves supporting the establishment of a NATO Classified Infrastructure and assisting in building the Cyber SOC by defining processes, tools, and operational procedures.

Candidates should have 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Information Security within NATO, EU, or German national classified environments. Expertise in ISO 27001 and BSI IT-Grundschutz, along with practical experience in implementing and managing these frameworks, is essential. A solid understanding of VS-IT systems, accreditation processes, and compliance requirements for classified networks is required. Proficiency in security technologies such as SIEM, PKI, IDS/IPS, and cryptographic systems is also necessary. An active German security clearance at Ü2/Ü3 level, or eligibility and willingness to undergo formal vetting, is mandatory.
