Affirm is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to lead the Repayments International team, focusing on developing tools and systems that facilitate convenient loan repayments for customers. This role is integral to Affirm's mission of providing honest and transparent financial products, ensuring a seamless repayment experience that enhances customer retention and supports the company's strong unit economics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and expanding an engineering team dedicated to managing repayment processes during Affirm's international expansion. Key responsibilities include improving system design, code quality, and testing practices, ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of the team's systems, and collaborating with product managers to design and implement top-tier systems and processes for collections. Additionally, the role involves partnering with various engineering teams to develop solutions throughout the entire loan repayment lifecycle and engaging with senior management to build strong relationships.

Candidates should possess over seven years of experience in software engineering with leadership responsibilities, including at least one year as an engineering manager. A strong drive to transform consumer financial services, experience in growing and managing high-performing engineering teams, proficiency in backend development, and a proven track record in architecting, building, launching, and maintaining consumer-scale products are essential. Excellent cross-team communication and collaboration skills are also required. Knowledge of the basic loan lifecycle and delinquency assessment is considered a plus.

Affirm offers a competitive compensation package, with a base pay range of €101,000 to €131,000 per year for positions based in Spain. The total compensation package includes monthly stipends for health, wellness, and tech spending, as well as benefits such as fully subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision insurance for employees and their dependents. Employees may also be eligible for equity rewards offered by Affirm Holdings, Inc.
