Manager, Software Engineering, Backend (Repayments International)
Affirm is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to lead the Repayments International team, focusing on developing tools and systems that enhance the loan repayment experience for customers. This role is integral to Affirm's mission of providing honest and transparent financial products, ensuring that repayment processes are convenient and user-friendly.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and expanding an engineering team dedicated to international repayment processes. Key duties include overseeing system availability, reliability, and performance, collaborating with product managers to design efficient collection systems, and engaging with various engineering teams to develop comprehensive repayment solutions. Building strong relationships with senior management is also a critical aspect of this role.
Candidates should possess over seven years of experience in software engineering with leadership responsibilities, including at least one year as an engineering manager. Essential qualifications include expertise in backend development, a proven track record of managing high-performing engineering teams, experience in architecting and maintaining consumer-scale products, and strong cross-team communication skills. Knowledge of loan lifecycle and delinquency assessment is advantageous.
Affirm offers a competitive compensation package, with a base salary ranging from €101,000 to €131,000 annually.
