The Managing Product Counsel will be an integral part of Thatch's mission to build a healthcare system that people love. Key responsibilities include serving as embedded counsel to Product, Engineering, and Design teams from early scoping through launch, advising on regulatory architecture, partnering with the Compliance team on product-facing regulatory reviews, and reviewing in-product disclosures and marketing materials. The role also involves counseling on privacy, data use, and AI-powered features, identifying protectable intellectual property assets, and building scalable legal processes and systems.

Candidates should possess a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school with over nine years of legal practice, including significant in-house experience supporting Product and Engineering teams. Experience advising on regulated consumer products, knowledge of health insurance, employee benefits, or financial services, and the ability to identify legal issues in product specifications are essential. Strong communication skills, a collaborative approach with cross-functional teams, and the ability to lead are also important.

The compensation for this role ranges from $200,000 to $230,000 USD annually.
