The Market Integrity Analyst will monitor both on-chain and off-chain trading activities to detect, investigate, and prevent market abuses such as wash trading, spoofing, layering, and front-running. Responsibilities include developing and refining statistical models and heuristics to identify anomalous behaviors that traditional rule-based systems might overlook. The role also involves conducting in-depth investigations into flagged transactions, tracing fund flows, and correlating cross-platform activities to uncover coordinated manipulations. Additionally, the analyst will design and maintain real-time dashboards and comprehensive reports on market health for protocol governance and community transparency, collaborating with the engineering team to integrate advanced surveillance tools and automate the detection of emerging threat typologies.
Candidates should possess a keen eye for detail and an intuitive sense for identifying inconsistencies in market data. Proficiency in handling large datasets using Python or SQL to extract actionable insights from raw blockchain data is essential. A deep understanding of the mechanics of Automated Market Makers (AMMs), order-book Decentralized Exchanges (DEXs), and the specific incentives that drive malicious actors in a decentralized environment is required. The role demands the highest level of integrity, providing neutral, evidence-based assessments to protect the protocol's reputation.
Applicants must have at least 3 years of experience in financial surveillance, market oversight, or data science within a high-frequency trading or exchange environment. Proven proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Dune Analytics, Tableau, or Grafana is necessary. A deep understanding of market manipulation schemes and the regulatory landscape surrounding digital assets is crucial. Experience with blockchain analytics platforms like Chainalysis, Elliptic, or Solidus Labs is a significant plus. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field is required.
